Huge fan of Allen Woody and always wanted one. Click and Collect from RS (Dave did me a little deal ). Short scale, chambered mahogany. Feels easy to play. Looks well built. Loverly.
here's a pic from the RS site:

You're a "talented" chap aren't you?! Although you may have a point.

30" scale.
Not sure about flats, need to visit that rabbit hole(?). Fingers, i struggle with picks, but Woody didn't. Woody didn't struggle with playing bass (or mandolin and others), but he did struggle with other aspects of life, like many of us. Such a fabulous musician.
Palm mute, I guess you mean a bit of foam by the bridge(?). We'll see, I know nothing, just a bedroom fiddler so to speak.

I listened to their recent live album yesterday. Wasn't that taken with it. No disrespect to the current band but I'm old school Mule.blackstratblues wrote: ↑Fri Sep 03, 2021 6:02 pm Score! Early Mule is one of my favourite bands of all time.

Very Hofner like with that pickup and control layout. Looks sweet!
I climbed on the back of a giant albatross which flew through a crack in the cloud to a place where happiness reigned all year round and music played ever so loudly

I play bass with a pick & palm mute guitar style, had to learn this way because of my doubleneck.WellyBlues wrote: ↑Fri Sep 03, 2021 7:08 pm30" scale.
