building a fretless - advice wanted. Ok so I've got a Jazz fretless neck and want to build up a Horny Jazz ,., I was thinking about maybe a peizo bridge thingy like on the power jazz's .,., to get a more woody sound.,., I'll be playing flatwounds on her and not adverse to doing non Fender correct things and thinking maybe putting a 62 stack knob thingy on.,.,. any suggestions really - its an open slab. although Im keen to avoid the big tickt price of course

A cedar body with the right kind of bridge might even get you into upright bass tone land with the piezo....
