very humorous
the Shihad arguments were legendary

Foal I tried to get into that site but they've fucked the forums up and it's really confusing even posting now. Why oh why did they do that? It was good as it was.

I'm not sure
I know the site was bought by some heavy hitter
who then woefully run the entire set-up
but this could hardly be described as surprising in NZ business management.
readers of RIU may remember just how influential this site once was
this is all from Wellington musicians though, so pinch of salt and all that.
losing Guthrie to Radio Sport(?) possibly wasn't good, but looking at the bigger picture social networking sites have simply over run forums who haven't been "genre specific" enough.
There's also a gap in the quality of correspondence. Where we had 3 Generations of front line musicians and promoters when the "internet" was new and fresh it sadly turned into something else. The viability of any "discussion" site requires not just new blood but a number of "Industry Vets". Having a degree of expert opinion shared out by various members increases the feeling of inclusiveness in the community.
people even used to the site to push ridiculous political credos, imagine that.
But you know, it may rise from the ashes, they're is always rumors.
The competition is fierce though, "musicians" have chosen Myspace and if you cannot offer even the same basic outline/provisions as that your on a hiding to nothing.

I would like to chat to some kiwi musos as well, the guys from opshop and shihad would be cool. And U2, Muse, Mutemath and Feeder and Chris martin so we could ask him why X&Y only had 4 good songs on it.

the cool guy in opshop left: Tim
the bald guy (Mat) is good value, the drummer is quite cool, the singer can be cool and the bass player is not cool

You are a hypocritical, whining bitch. F*$k off and die Anthony.
