I like it, and I was almost over the chilli's after Stadium, and not a fan of John that much anyway....i thought pretty boy poser loves himself to much guy "Dave navarro", did fine with them, and think this guy will also. John sings like a pussy to , maybe he can now go pursue love duets

Now that I have given the album a couple of listens I really like it. Josh's style is pretty textured as well as having nice flashy moments. The band seam to have found some cool funk without sounding like one of their past albums. Look Around, Even You Brutus? and this clip are my favorites so far..
The guy that filmed this is standing in front oh Josh's amp so the guitar is really loud in the mix but there is a nice solo around 2.20

it's a great album, was not expecting much but it's terrific. Brendan's death song is fantastic

Funny, John was the only one in that band that could actually sing with any degree of competence.

this. If by pussy, you mean angelic god, then yes, he sings like a pussy

Just watched that video above and was quite surprised/impressed. Nice, summery (if slightly pedestrian) tune. The new guy looks almost out of place, seeming pretty normal - I mean that in a good way. Might have brought them back to earth a little. Looks like has has good taste in amps anyway. Strat into a Super Reverb, yum. What's he like playing the old hits?

I'v only seen a handful of clips of him playing other hits and for the most part he is ripping. But in the song "Don't forget me" (my favorite Chili song) he doesn't have that raw emotion that Froosh seamed to blend melodically with ease. He probably just needs more time playing with the band. The Peppers are definitely missing Frooshs' angelic god backing vocals!
I think it's a good album, not their best by any means, but there aren't many bands of 50 who sound as young and energetic as they do. They sounded very tired and worn out on SA, I doubt if it could have even been whittled down to an acceptable single album. I gave them a miss on that tour after seeing them on By The Way, but I saw them a few weeks ago on this tour and they were fantastic.
