Dire Straits: Great guitar and bass work, great melody, great songwriting...just great music. Mark Knopfler and co at their best.

Wow again. Voted for Black Label Society because I don't think I've ever heard them so at least there is some potential for a pleasant suprise.

AC/DC... Respect but not much else.

Genesis... Teen years spent desperately wanting to like them but being continually disappointed. Only got worse after Peter Gabriel left.
You know how I always say the beginning and the end of the seventies rock was great but I don't like to talk about the middle? You guessed it. Genesis.

Dire Straits.... Y'know that nausea you get when you smell a drink that caused too many alcohol poisonings at high school parties? Well for me, these guys are like when you're still sober and you smell someone elses vom.
:(

I knew the words to half the AC/DC songs when I was 15-16 and I never owned an album...never had to, heard them everyime I walked out the damn door !
they were kickass live..athletic park '92? it was raining and Angus was running around, slipped, went flying, landed on his back, carried on playing while kicking his legs in the air...classic!

Tough choice between AC/DC and Dire Straits, but this is "Rockwars" so AC/DC for me.

Black Label. I nominated them.

Zakk is just a legend. his albums are awesome. Ozzy picked him up when he was 19.
AFK.
