Same thing I was thinking. Just heard the track on The Low-IQ Panelbeaters Favourite Station Play Some Metallica FM (sometimes known as The Rock), and I really liked it. Certainly a cut above the usual tripe that gets on that segment of the show.
One is a demo currently but we are considering doing the "proper" recording of it as the next single. It's called 15 minutes and it's a favourite of mine. The other is Here Beside You with a new vocal track, and now mastered as well.

I thought that meant it was a 15 minute long demo, so I didn't listen to it.

Haha no....though that is perhaps reason enough to consider changing the name of the song...
the song formerly known as 15 minutes is now "15 minutes (not really)"

I should add that I think the 16th note rhythm figure played underneath the chorus is bloody brilliant. Oh and that bit where you open up a little bit with the vocals on the last chorus... reminds me heaps of Aaron from Weta.

Wow high praise indeed, without a doubt my favourite NZ rock band of all time.
That sound you're talking about (16ths) was done with a gate but that's what I bought BG's cusack tap a whirl for - a tap tempo trem to play the chords in the chorus. We used it again (to a lesser extent) in Here Beside You. I'm hoping to use it quite a bit as it gives the part this amazing momentum in a way that isn't generally the way trems are used.

Yeah I noticed it under the other song aswell, very cool effect ! remember to use it sparingly
It was on the Radio again this morning
Prime Time
score comrade
and that beacon of popular taste Roger Farrelly(?) gave it the thumbs up.
I'm taking back everything bad I said about the Rock FM if they are going to put Indie NZ music on at 9 in the morning.
