I'll pass. One EC concert was enough for me. Love his music, but seeing him again? Nah!
He hit a chord that rocked the spinet and disappeared into the infinite ...

Hmmm is it anything like a Santana concert, I fell asleep during that one back in the day. I think it was during the ten minute holding of one note in a solo....

Cool. Not expecting to be able to go though - once you throw travel and accommodation on top of whatever (likely high) ticket prices, budget probably won't stretch.

Are there enough white middle-aged men with a taste in bad shirts in Auckland to fill Vector?
Actually I've just realised I've described BG... Ok, so there's at least one, but are there any more....?

The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

I'd see him if he was in town, but the hell with going to JAFAville for Clapton. Actually the hell with going to JAFAville for anyone, given what happened to the Priest show. Hope Paul Dainty's not organising this one too...

Re: Eric Clapton announces NZ show
Saw him mid 90s, right in the middle of his Lace Sensor/soldano/rack-soup phase, and made worse by the fact that he was playing a decent amount of material off Journeyman. I enjoyed the rest of the band more.
Nowadays he sounds and plays better, and his guest guitar players are stellar. I wonder if Derek Trucks or Sonny Landreth will be on the road with him?

I'd make the trip and put up with staying with my folks to go to that show. Come to think of it my old man, while a bit past middle aged, likes bad shirts. He might even shout us both tickets.
