It's not. Between work, kids, life sentence block and gigging I don't have any time. It's my 50th present to myself...

What are you loving right now?
A couple of months ago I got a request to sing Bob Dylan's 'I Shall Be Released' at a gig booking. I decided to do it acoustically (since I've discovered my inner acoustic player) and chose this version to sing. Jimmy has a voice that is an 'acquired taste', but do I enjoy his work. Anyway, that's pretty much the way I played it at the gig (apart from my voice being very different to his) and the woman who requested it broke down into tears. It turns out it has very special meaning to her (glad I didn't know that beforehand - pressure) and she totally loved the acoustic approach. I must admit it was damn difficult singing with a crying woman staring at me.

He hit a chord that rocked the spinet and disappeared into the infinite ...

I heard people cry every time you sing, or breakdown at least....
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Acquired taste? Surely he's no worse than Bob Dylan?
I quite liked that version- apart from ditching the syncopation on the line "Any day now..."- the energy of the song just evaporates every time they hit that section. He has a cool voice though.

Re: What are you loving right now?
I'm loving the sound of my whole rig at the moment. The Tremolux thingo that Ryan built sounds spectacular with any of my guitars, really warm and mellow, while the AC4 handwired is just raucous. Add to that my vintage Sennheiser MD412 dynamic mic pointed straight at the middle of the speaker and a Cascade Fathead ribbon mic at 45degrees both running through Buzz Audio mic preamps and I'm in recording heaven!
Here's a quick demo of that rig along with DI'd bass and EZ Drummer all running through a rather nice emulation of an analogue chain (Sound Toys Little Radiator on each channel and Decapitator plus Slate Digital Virtual Tape Machine on the mix bus).

Here's a short clip of the neck pickup of my Robin Avalon (the mother of all Les Pauls) through the same rig:
