The Steve Vai rundown is a good one. Such a down to earth dude. Went to his bands sound check when he was here last, absolutely blew me away, never forget that. Got a couple cool videos that turned out really good I should upload them.
Loving it so far

I'm not a huge fan of Bonamassa, but if you're into vintage Gibson's it's a pretty in-depth and interesting video :winky:

This was another worthy Rig Rundown, Brian features in the final portion of the video wearing a shirt that only he could get away with :lolno:

Big fan of Devin Townsend, found this cool rundown of his live setup for DTP, interesting how he's running an Axe FX and a Kemper! Best of both worlds for touring it seems.

He's a laugh alright, even his singlet is funny

This was the first video I saw of him and it cracked me up. Guy can actually play pretty damn good though

Billy Gibbons uses 7-38 gauge strings  How is that even possible?!
From what I hear it is necessary, he has RSI (a lot of repetitive use injury to his wrists). So he's had to move to progressively lighter strings. I guess that's what you get from a lifetime of bending? :?

Brian May has always ever only used 0.08's from what I can make out, so if he ever gets RSI he'll be down to 0.07's as well :lolno:

Forklift, you should watch Kenny Wayne Shepperds RigRundown. I just get annoyed at his "I created this, I'm so amazing at that I had to get this" and attempts to impress dirks with his signature shit... but he does know his stuff and it makes sense. You just have too try very very hard to ignore the self obsession :lolno:

I have watched it ~ well, I actually never got to the end TBH. It was just Strat after Strat and I actually found it quite boring, although I agree with you that he knows his stuff. I can take him in small doses but there are far better players out there doing what he is trying to do... Jesse Davey and Philip Sayce are two that come to mind.

Cheers

It's a shame Dirks is no longer with PG. She actually knew her stuff and wasn't an awkward 'fan girl' when interviewing.

Shes awesome, doing stuff with PGS these days, in their Tone Report videos and e-zine :)

Eye candy and brains, perfection.

My Dad has a Cornford head, one of his favourites and he reckons they make fantastic amps. Surprising they still relatively unheard of.
