Haha, interesting analysis...
twistedthoughts wrote:I think it was a good move both commercially and artistically to remove some of the F bombs. Sounds much better now.
Yeah, needed to happen.
twistedthoughts wrote: I can hear what I think are Sam-isms. Maybe they're not, but the parts that sound Sam-ish to me are the post-first-chorus melodic part
Nope, I had that there when I wrote it, was also in the first recording you heard.

twistedthoughts wrote:repetitive guitar melody during the chorus.
Kind of, yet again it was always there, but Sam had us double it an octave higher to bring it out a bit more.

twistedthoughts wrote: What happened to that fucking blazing solo you did on the video? Man that was killer. This one is still very good (very professional sounding), although I was anticipating some kick ass shred lick from 2:31 - 2:37 which never came  . I suppose I should remember that 99.9% of your target audience will probably see guitar solos as "things that get in the way of the singing". They're probably right.
Yeah, was really two things, the first is what you said, the second; it was a matter of how much time we'd need to get it sounding perfect Vs how much time we had to get it done.
Ummm....

That is of course not to play down the contributions and input from Sam at all, as they helped shape the song in to what it is today, but those particular bits you've noticed weren't Sam-isms.
The next song, which we'll release in a while has much more musical input from Sam.
Ummm....

Finally got to hear this today, been a very busy week for some reason.

Loving it, sounds really polished. I thought the guitar solo was really polished and fitted in really well with what I expected to hear.

Looking forward to hearing this on the Radio and I hope it's a great launchpad for you all.

I'd buy a lossless version of this, or a CD...

Old Fart's seal of approval. I wouldn't play it on the home stereo, but I'll sure as hell come and see you live.

Actually, I might play it at home; it's hooky.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

We are releasing our new single tomorrow night at 7pm!
Will be available for streaming on Soundcloud. I'll chuck a link in here when it's available.

The song has been a huge effort and we are so stoked with how it's come out.
It was produced and Engineered by the super talented Paul Matthews (I Am Giant, Stylus, Tadpole, Blindspott and heaps more..)
Mixed by Forrester Savell in Australia (Dead Letter Circus, Karnivool, I Am Giant)
and finally mastered at the infamous Sterling Sound in the States (Damn near every band in the world!)

Can't wait to get it out to everyone.
Ummm....

That's superb Mark!

It's really great and, like you said at the gig, it's really polished. You're really making progress :)

The vocals sound awesome by the way which is very important for me as it's easy to make it grungy, and this isn't.
