I'd probably throw Ozzy's solo debut in there. His career should have been over when he was ditched by Sabbath. Somehow he managed to claw his way back to the top with that album (thanks largely to Mr. Rhoads).

AFD obviously, although it's not without its flaws. Think About You is filler.

Ha yes, that is a great album... although the fact my Mum agrees with me reduces the appeal somewhat...

This is going on full length debuts right? EPs don't count? What would you consider the first Pantera album?

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

As great as Nick Drake is, most of his stuff is just too depressing. Pink Moon is my favourite of his - has a small amount of happy in it

This!

I'm also a big fan of Audioslave's first album. I know there's a lot of people that aren't big fans, but I always find myself listening to it.

Yeah, Pink Moon is just the right length. If it lasted a full 40 minutes or so, it would get a bit much (IMHO)
