Crumbs

Post by Polar Bear »

That's right chaps, my band Throw it to the Fire released our debut EP 'Crumbs' last night. We're really pretty chuffed with it. If you'd like a copy, head on over to http://throwittothefire.bandcamp.com/ and nab yourself one. They're both pressed and available as a digital download. If you buy the physical copy, you get the download for free!

Cheers Cappy. Last nights release was pretty chaotic, but it felt good to make some noise for a decent sized crowd!

Thanks to all who headed down - including Scott + Ed (Ed even won free tickets... small world).

The handwired Vox AC30 got its second outing, the Xotic EP booster has now joined the pedal board (rediscovered it as an actual boost, rather than the 'tone colouring' I originally thought would be neat) and Tod's drum kit is seriously massive. (In the backline emails we send to the support bands, there's a casual mention of "11 piece drumkit")

We play Hamilton + Auckland next week, but in the meantime do have a listen to the EP.

If you have any thoughts / observations / mini reviews, please chuck them here. We got all cabin-fevery writing the press release stuff & having to describe stuff that it sure would be sweet to get some outside perspective...

Hamilton was a sweet gig last night.

I forgot to take a picture, but up on the wall they have a thing for "Top 10 reasons to join the Hamilton Blues Society". Rule number one was taped over with gaffa - mystery ensues...

This evening (Sat, Dec 15th) is the Auckland gig. I'm really looking forward to this, as last time up there was incredibly charming & raucous. We've got Mason Clinic + Stone the Crows in support, and Capt Black on sound - let the good times roll. Gig details here.

Just heads up - For today only we've made the EP available as pay what you want on Bandcamp.

Hear Polar Bear consigned to heavy-handed drums,!marvel at the restraint of only using 3 different amps to record with!

Have a listen, and give us mere cents, many dollars or simply download it for free, if it'd passed by your radar from the tour at the end of last year.
