Modern churches are trying to actually keep people coming in and not let them die of boredom.

God is not boring, but many churches are. Incredibly so. And it does God a dis-service, because He is represented as being boring and stuffy, which He isn't. He also isn't a hipster, but He probably does listen to U2.
