Re: Johnny Winter RIP
Sad day. Amazing player. A mate of mine went to America a couple of years back and hired the biggest godam Ford he could find and drove the length of Hiway 61. The Blues trail. On the way they he got talking to some old dude who told him to hang around till late afternoon cos they have a free concert every 2nd Saturday of the month in the old, unused supply store on the corner. So he spent the day mucking round in this little town in the middle of nowhere untill late afternoon. Then some of the locals started turning up. They lifted open the corragated iron framed walls of the dis-used store to reveal a huckerry old stage. Some of the locals turned up and started playing some cool blues in the store. And after about and hour a car pulled up and a guy got out, went to the passengers side and helped Johnny Winter out and to the stage where he was seated and went on to play for an hour with some of the locals. Apparently he was very good despite his obvious health issues.
JW. RIP. A huge inspiration.

Re: Johnny Winter RIP
That is really sad. He went through a lot when he started, it was good to see him make a comeback and finally start living.

Re: Johnny Winter RIP
Great picture or Johnny and Paul Nelson. Titled "goodby my friend", very appropriate.
