Well, if we didn't have categories, words like "Norwegian Black Metal"... band auditions would be a lot more hit-or-miss... with guys turning up to auditions in their best checked shirt and sporting their Teles + B-Bender.

I should have disclosed that I haven't been to an audition since 1992.
I believe that John 5 owns a B-Bender. And I'm fairly sure I've seen a picture of him in Guitar World or a similar magazine in a check shirt, though none are on sale in the following link.
edit- the last clip has some merit, but I think you could substitute stagecraft for technical musicianship and the statement would still hold true. Horrible, calculated crap IMO (emphasis on the O).

I know what you mean Ben, but again it all depends what people do with their Klevverness - tedium and irritation can arise even at the breast of mother virtuosity.
I hadn't heard him playing anything along the lines of Hamo's pick above.
