G&R Reunion ?
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Yeah after taking the stage 2 hours late.werdna wrote:Bring a book to the gig; Axl likes to walk off stage mid set for an hour or so.
That said, perhaps purely instrumental GNR would be better anyway.

What's the point? He can't sing anymore? His voice is gone.
I'd rather hear someone else sing the songs well than someone struggling too.

I'm prepared to give it a chance, I was dubious about seeing the stones but they were AMAZING, maybe the gunners will bring the awesome too??

Re: G&R Reunion ?
I think that hinges entirely on Axl though. The others are probably pro enough to make it work (as are the Stones), but Axl just seems like an addled diva weirdo that will happily fuck up gigs and not treat his audience like they matter. Now if he needs a cash injection (I saw one figure saying they could make $150m out of this), he might be able to keep in check. And then if his behaviour stays on the straight and narrow, how really is his voice now?jeremyb wrote:I'm prepared to give it a chance, I was dubious about seeing the stones but they were AMAZING, maybe the gunners will bring the awesome too??
Having said all that, I would go in a heartbeat.

My main worry is Axl fucking things up, his voice is sounding pretty tired these days unfortunatelyhamo wrote:I think that hinges entirely on Axl though.
