Queen Fans Only

Post by sizzlingbadger »

So whats your favourite Queen album ?

I prefer the earlier work as it has an energy that later albums lack. I must admit I have never really got past "The Works" so I may be missing out on their later stuff.

Its hard to choose a single album but I think "Queen II" is my favourite.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

I grew up listening to my dads copy of The Works on vinyl so it still holds first place for me, such a great album!

When I was 14/15 I lived a few km's out of town and cycled everywhere with my Sony Walkman. Mostly with a copied tape that had Queen II on one side and Sheer Heart Attack on the other.

Favourite would have to be one of those 2, probably Queen II.

During the 80's i was a serious Queen fan, i think the album with the least dire freddie ballards is The Game.

Prophets song is probably my favorite Queen song tho..
 Mids so haunting that demons took over my living room and now my guitar glows!

It was just that was the main one that the olds listened to in the car I think, I got used to it as a set of songs, and treated it like an album in its own right.

Can't say I know all their albums that well but I do predictably love A Night at the Opera.
Greatest Hits vol 1 is pretty much everywhere isn't it though
