I can't stand Rob's voice, the rest of the band do some awesome instrumental stuff tho' as 'Toska'!

Everyone talking about Duran Duran the other day reminded me how weird it was that this band Dreamcar exists and even weirder that they sound like this. I kind of get a Duran Duran vibe but idk if anyone else does.

Yeah it's definitely got that 80s synth pop sound to it, with a singer who sounds like the guy from the killers?!!?!?

personally I don't think it sounds anything like Duran Duran at all. It is very 80s synth pop, which I never considered Duran to be. They sound very much like like the human league to me

there's horses for courses and then there is just plain wrong..your comment falls into the latter

They sound nothing like thin lizzy at all and yeah don't recall Phil ever needing to distort his vocals..I mean is she using a harmonic mic for vocals or something? sound terrible

The killers i'm not sure about... He doesn't sound like the guy from AFI though, that's what surprised me.

Maybe the rest of the album is what got me thinking Duran Duran. This single is quite poppy. Actually the Human League comparison might be spot on

Fair, fair. More accurately I should have said it reminds me of that era of guitar rock, and Thin Lizzy was the band that popped into mind. Still prefer her vocals though :P

Hi Just popped into mention that Anesthetize is my favourite piece of music and has been for some years. I'll return to lurker status now. Cheers.
