At 18, I was a complete innocent.
On the same evening, I met LSD and this album; in that order.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

That's the one. Oh, and this encounter of mine happened in New Plymouth.
Always a good place for an education.

Yes...and the acid had to be good to complete with the local, organic hallucinogenic.

I really want to love this album because apparently it's really important in the scheme of things, unfortunately I've kind of bounced off it the times I've tried.
Maybe I'll give it a go a little later after the Deep House playlist I'm listening to has finished.

Toyahs plastic jugs do nothing for me, which is sad as a lot of my youth was spent lusting over her

Can't remember the year, long time ago obviously but went to see Free. Opening act was Crimson ( then unknown ) who wandered onto the stage and blasted off with a relentless Schitzoid Man. Needless to say I left when they finished as I knew after that, Free ( who I had seen several times previously ) would sound rather tame..

This has always been one of my Dad's favourite albums, but despite trying I just could not get into it. Same goes for quite a few of my Dad's other LP's like Bruford, Weather Report and even Holdsworth
