heres some cool news......
JAKE E. LEE Recording With STARSHIP Vocalist - Jan. 30, 2008
According to MelodicRock.com, singer Mickey Thomas (JEFFERSON STARSHIP) is currently recording material at The Tone Factory Studios for a new album that will feature Aynsley Dunbar (JOURNEY, WHITESNAKE, UFO) on drums, Danny Miranda (BLUE ÖYSTER CULT, QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS) on bass and Jake E. Lee (OZZY OSBOURNE, BADLANDS) on guitar. A late 2008 release via Direct Music is expected.

Jake E. Lee's "covers" album, "Retraced", was released in the U.S. in April 2005 via Shrapnel Records. The CD, which was engineered by Michael Lardie (GREAT WHITE), features the following lineup of musicians:

Jake E. Lee (OZZY OSBOURNE, BADLANDS): guitars
Chris Logan (MSG): Vocals
Tim Bogert (VANILLA FUDGE, BECK, BOGERT & APPICE): Bass
Aynsley Dunbar (WHITESNAKE, MSG, UFO): Drums

All the songs were recorded in a "power trio" format ala BADLANDS and the tracks for the project are cover songs along that style (bluesy power rock).

never heard the singer but the band is awesome so it should sound wicked musically.... hopefully this guy will be better than chris logan, cause I hate his singing on "retraced"

I didn't think Logan was that bad, but then again I wasn't paying too much attention to the vocals.

That new lineup sounds good (not familiar with Miranda's playing), as long as they don't bust out a cover of We Built This City.

I've seen Paul Gilbert do some scary divebomb-y things with the tuners.

Jake detuned his tuner (Low E) during his solo spot...but his main 'trick' was bending the neck (you hold the upper 'horn' of the guitar with your right hand and hold the neck behind the nut, back of headstock and then push the body in towards you and kinda pull the neck towards ya right shoulder..........I do it a lot and the wife reckon I break it one day......
Randy Rhoads did it on his LP a little to
