I agree with this. Bob Rock, along with Rubin, is one of the best and most astute rock producers of the past fifteen years or so.

But even he couldn't polish turds. And by turds, I mean Metallica's last few albums.

it was bob rock that insisted on the live basic recording of "st anger", so I think he is as guilty as the rest of them, he did the same with skid rows "subhuman race", the drums on that are trash can sounding as well....lets hope he doesn't wreck the new motley crue album
