I don't know who did the hacking and stripping, but the deep scratch marks told me they weren't trying very hard to do it right.

Ewwwww! The visual image of the previous posters and their various stated excited emissions is something my poor brain could definitely have done without! Who's gonna clean all that up?! Not me, that's 'fo damn sho'!
On the other hand that is one Hottie McTottie piece of work monsieur Ash! Roll on August!

2010 is coming to a close and the last few days at work see the last few guitars out the door. Here's one!
Ash Katipo
Seymour Duncan JB/Jazz pickups running through a coil-tapping 5-way switch, volume, tone.
Carefully selected Rimu body. Neck is Rimu and Tawa laminated with internal carbon fibre reinforcement and a stainless steel truss rod.
Katipo spider inlay at the 12th fret on the Puriri fretboard.
Cat's breath plated Hipshot locking tuners and hardtail bridge.

I notice that when left to your own devices, you seem to create guitars that have a very PRS crossed with BC Rich kind of flavour, Ash.
It's quite cool actually. Probably not something I'd buy as I just like the classic designs, but something I enjoy looking at.
It's like it almost goes metal but shys away at the last moment.

Looks incredible man. I can't imagine myself playing that, but looks like a fine build. Very creative.
