Thanks to Matt for the deal of the century. I'll let the photos do the talking:

Wow...that's flash

I was slightly put off by the gold hardware to start with, but if you're gonna go bling, you might as well go full bling!Zaulkin wrote:I think this is the best looking PRS you own... Would be even better without the gold hardware
And it plays as fantastically well as it looks. Slowie gave it a good workout last night, he will be along to give his review shortly.

Some Say:
That PRS are the Masters of Bland
And they only suit those with dimed Triple Rec's and tea cosies on their heads.
All we know is:
This could be one of the most versatile and beautiful guitars made...by anyone.....ever.
Seriously, in the flesh it looks like a work of art... it is a work of art. The flame is 3D, fit & finish is perfect and it's feather light.
It was the sound that got me though. It has the quality of tone that has you strumming a single chord and just listening to it fade away. Clean tones on all 3 Humbucker settings are glorious and the piezo does a great acoustic impression; warm and pleasing with nothing quacking for miles around.
Conway's got more grit under his fingers than me and by the time he'd kicked on a Sybil fuzz and DLS, this baby was roaring and snarling like an annoyed Rottweiler. Being a full hollow body, I'd love to try it with a band and explore the edge of feedback levels. It could be a lot of fun!
I said last night "This is the only guitar you'd ever need". It isn't. It doesn't cover Strat territory if that's what you want. But it does pretty much everything else.
Conway has a twin P90 PRS that I instantly bonded with. I really liked its personality. This one's different. It's a magnificent and capable music making tool that can strum a ballad, comp some Jazz, deliver a soaring solo and as an afterthought, rip your face off.
I need a lie down. I'll be in my bunk.

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Cheers Slowie for those comments, you have a fine way with words, my friend. I think I need to print it out and frame it!

Re: Another addition to the PRS family
And I was 24h too late in my email to Matt. Not that I probably could have afforded it.
Dibs.
Dibs.
Larrivee 00 Acoustic. FAV Strat for electric. Ibanez SDGR5 for bass. Push for Ableton. When not doing that, 3D CAD for tunnels...
