Mmmm, that's tasty. What kind of wood working skills would you need to sculpt such a beast? I'd be keen too, but I assume it's not quite the easiest thing to do :lol:

Tricky to say really, I'm an engineer by trade so much of the measuring and stuff was drummed into me. The router is your friend though I try and use as little as poss and get to grips with the wood instead :D

Okay the final photos, pre-stringing. I've left it wooden though I've darkened it down a little as I finished it with shellac rather than oil.

yeah its come out really well, I didn't go for the mirror finish with it, just more of a satin and I don't think the photos have captured the real colour that well. But well pleased with the results :D

I think I need to change the screw in the truss rod cover, its a bit on the obtrusive side :eek:
