Now it's official. :D
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

That 5E3 clone vid was cool - I like watching someone who does chords and riffs and a bit of everything, not just blues noodles!

I might invite scorn and say... it didn't sound so great cranked*, atleast on the normal channel. I like the raw/loose nature of it (sort of verging on Vox territory, but more loose).. but it seemed to kinda flub out a fair bit - probably more of a speaker/mic/youtube compression issue than anything though. Anyway, clean-ish via guitar's volume dial (nice dynamics) and semi/mid dirt were super, super glorious... Would be fantastic live and loud but hardly versatile at home without serious attenuating.

* I shouldn't really judge until hearing one in person!

Nah, the flub-out is the amp - that's an integral part of the design, which some people love, and others are lead towards modifying.

Given the impracticalities of how loud it would be when that actually happens... There's nothing wrong with it. Most (ie: non-arena playing) people would just like a bit of natural breakup and then boost the front end with pedals - a situation in which I can see an amp like that truly shining.

This is why I love my vibrolux. It doesnt do much other than hairy at full tilt but smack it with a pedal and it's full if awesome. The clean is the best I've heard too.

So you'd be happy about permanently getting rid of your Bogner, then?

JB is losing his touch -- more than an hour and not a peep out of him.

It would be down to what sounds best on the back porch, and swampy trem and fender clean wins everytime. I don't have to make that choice though, not yet anyway!
