Re: Show Us Your Guitar
It's actually two single-coils. The top one is a strat pickup (tall and narrow coil) and the bottom one is like a jazzmaster pickup (short and wide). I think both have roughly the same number of winds. The jazzmaster coil in particular sounds amazing.crowbgood1 wrote:Nice!!!!!! What does the neck pup do?

Cheers!Zaulkin wrote:You have fantastic taste in Les Pauls jimi.
So do you mate. Sorry but that one is a keeper.
The other 2 stay in tune better and are much easier on the shoulder for a 4 hour gig, but there is some magic pixie dust in that LP that makes it hard to leave behind when packing for a gig, and as much as I try to spare my back, it's hard to resist playing it for the whole night.

No worries, even if you were selling it I could never go back to LPs. I like looking at it though.jimi wrote:Cheers!Zaulkin wrote:You have fantastic taste in Les Pauls jimi.

Not sure if serious about the polish, but I do wipe the sweat off regularly with a damp microfibre cloth. That's about it though.
Got a little bottle of lizard spit thrown in with a guitarparts.co.nz order, but haven't tried it out yet.

Yes, that LP does have something going for sure. It's pretty much stock, right?

Re: Show Us Your Guitar
Well, it must have had a great setup done at some point... Can you still call a Gibson stock after that? As far as I know no mods have been done.GrantB wrote:Yes, that LP does have something going for sure. It's pretty much stock, right?
I was actually looking forward to going through a few sets of pickups to find a set wound with unicorn hair and NOS alnico magnets that always point to magnet south, but the burst buckers in there sound too good to take out.
