I understand that it is ableton, plus low end from a track and bot guitarists have their own pedal loopers.

Serious question: How do you start and stop the click while you're drumming?
It’s easy enough to hit the start/stop button in between snare hits, unless you are playing some mad breakbeat.
I've been playing in jazz and funk bands on and off since I was a teenager. I'd rather my drummers were concentrating on what they're supposed to be doing frankly.

I personally like the stability and the creative possibilities around syncing lights, video and musical parts that are near impossible to recreate live. It’s to a click, and it would not work any other way, and it’s one of my favourite songs.
Spot on for a show like that but this is more my bag:

No fixed tempo there. Just rock solid groove.

Nothing at all wrong with playing to a click but the implication that bands that don't stay to a rock solid tempo being inferior is utter bollocks.

It's the delay repeats freaking out the drummer I'm worried about.
Can I just say, if the drummer doesn't notice he's going off tempo, he probably won't care about the timing of your delay repeats.

My apologies, I never meant that. I do think however that bands who try to stay on a solid tempo and can’t, should use a click. That’s all I meant. And often us church types do the worst at this, due to the varying skill levels of church musos.

Jam bands, rock bands, jazz, blues and funk bands are best off without a click so that they can have the freedom that those styles of music need.

Ben, that track is awesome, super sweet band playing their asses off.

This thread really has meandered all over the place, eh? :-)

Could someone tell me, if I got a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2 Plus (which I plan to), would all these fancy delays run off it? I know the DD-20 would, be it seems that even the Nova has funny power requirements.

For that matter, would a Blue Sky work?

Strymons single pedals work fine. DD20 fine. Strymons big pedals, you need the Pedal Power Digital, or a seperate PS for each...
Larrivee 00 Acoustic. FAV Strat for electric. Ibanez SDGR5 for bass. Push for Ableton. When not doing that, 3D CAD for tunnels...

T Rex Chameleon will work. The Nova will require 12 volts, I think.

I've run DD-20, Nova and Timefactor off my Pedalpower 2.

Cool, thanks everyone.

And while I'm at it, say you want to run 12 pedals off a Pedal Power 2, is daisy-chaining an issue?

It can be. I recommend experimentation. I’ve shared a couple of pedals on a daisy chain before, with no issues. I find that digital stuff it best on it’s own tap. But a few analog drive pedals should be ok. If there is any noise problems, then you would know where to start looking.

T-Rex Chameleon runs BlueSky no worries (Requires 200mA, gets 250mA) however the TimeLine shuts off/goes on the blink with the Chameleon (Requires 250mA, gets 250mA?) so I'm just using a Jaycar wallwart no probs.

I think the figures should be 300mA and 300mA, but yeah... very strange.
