NLPD

Post by Ironbird13 »

this arrived today...

Image

am actually surprised by this, wasnt expecting much. quite a nice profile neck on it. does need a new nut (current one, someone filed the grooves down, and the top of the nut sits 5mm above the strings :wtf: instead of sanding the bottom of the nut down) and need to shim the neck a little to lower the action (TOM at lowest setting but still too high, should've had an angled neck not straight)
but otherwise not too bad for a cheapy. its even got real binding :D
will probably chuck some chrome PUps in there and not sure if to leave the pickguard on or not?
Hurdy Gurdy.... some how... and I'm not entirely certain how mind you, an instrument that sounds like someone has shoved a nest of angry hornets into a goose with a kazoo bill and is randomly slapping the poor creature with an accordion.... Sounds amazing.

What are we looking at here? It looks to be a 12 string?

I'd leave the pickups uncovered, they look cool. Nice bridge too.
Nothing to see here.

I've had a couple of mirage brand guitars, after a bit of fretwork they've been reasonable players that I've not minded throwing around and bashing the shit out of. Long neck tenons too.
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

I had a mirage 5 string bass. It was seriously cool. You're probably in for a whole load of enjoyment here.
