No Suhrprise to anyone - but here it is!
Most of you know about this already I think but I didn't get around to posting it here when I first got it.
Here's my latest, greatest superstrat - Suhr Modern in Chili Pepper Red. Mahogany neck/body, quilty maple top, pau ferro fretboard, stainless steel frets.

I'm a bit afraid to admit it but... I think I like it better than my N4. :S

Thanks!Molly wrote:Posh as.
Not really at all like a Les Paul. There are so many more factors than that - shape and thickness/ratio of mahogany to maple, scale length, bridge type, etc etc. It does sound like the most mid-forward, "hifi" sounding superstrat I've ever played though. Even more so than my Korina N4.AiRdAd wrote:Hey Ed, with the mahogany body and neck, and the maple top... How similar does it sound to a Les Paul?
Looks fantastic BTW

Conway was asking if they do it in swimming pool blue?
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

That's what I wondered. You'd hope it didn't sound like a version of a Fender or Gibson, but something very much of its own.AiRdAd wrote:Hey Ed, with the mahogany body and neck, and the maple top... How similar does it sound to a Les Paul?

I don't get the Suhr headstock hate? Is it because it looks like a Samick headstock? Samick just copied it from Schecter who got it from Tom Anderson and Pensa-Suhr who've used it for yonks.Eruera wrote:Ugh, that headstock
It's like seeing a war-time banner headstock Gibson and disliking it because the logo resembles that of a Blueridge....

I'm in with the Suhr headstock hate. Not at all because it looks like a Samick. I just don't like that aesthetic. I always hated the Tom Anderson and Pensa-Suhr headstocks too!robnobcorncob wrote:I don't get the Suhr headstock hate? Is it because it looks like a Samick headstock? Amazing guitar though, for sure! If I wasn't so shallow with the headstock hate, I'd possibly already own a Suhr Classic T
