Your practice space.
Curious where everyone else spends their time when noodling or practising around at home or studio etc.
Since Baby #2 my sound proofed studio/gear room/office has become mostly a baby room.
So now I cart out what I can to the complete other end of the house to the dining room..
Post a picture of where you are banished to or usually setup

Excuse the old photo, but our spare room currently serves as my sanctuary.
It's not particularly neighbour-friendly but who cares

Messy pic of part of our jam room, loft above our drummers garage, we've done a lot more work since this, fitted out a control room etc, setting it all up for recording

I too have had to compromise since we shifted house. My gear's now set up in the bedroom. At least it's not in the way so I don't have to disassemble / reassemble all the time but I do miss my old office and am already looking sideways at every house for sale locally wondering if there's a potential guitar den within.

Re-doing the floor in my kitchen so practice space is currently filled with bits of flooring and sawdust. Will take a photo later in the week when I've cleaned it.

Re: Your practice space.
I'm pretty Lucky.
My double garage never got much use so a few years ago I grabbed some french doors of Trademe and Converted the double garage to a single and a man cave. It's an idea i saw at an open home. Anyway it turned out great and is definitely my place of relaxation.

our double garage is full of cars. and our "shed" garage is storage for all my in-laws stuff - as we rent their home.

Yeah it's been good. Has decluttered the house a bit. Also I can hammer away without bothering anyone.SimpleSi wrote:this is what i need..bluesierra wrote:I'm pretty Lucky.

Nowhere near as flash as you fullas; the tiny amp and multi FX in the lounge with some guitars on a rack...
Every now and again - very, very rarely these days - I set up my old Holden combo, the synth and all the other gear I've got under tarps out there in the shed including the big PA and really blow the cobwebs out!

There is no sort of aberrant behaviour that cannot be modified by use of the correct ammunition!
