Currently the spare room downstairs doubles as a walk-in robe and guitar room.

For home, I have a corner of the lounge setup not to dissimilar to BG's space.

Both my bands use The Bassment in Taka, Aucks on a weekly basis. I've been using it since 2009 when it was Doctor Music, before becoming the Bassment around 2011. Good sized rooms that don't have that decades-of-encrusted-sweat-cigs-&-scum stench which seemed to follow a lot of rooms I used prior. Probably because it's a a more recent establishment with filtered air flow and staff that generally tidy the rooms. Plus, no real dicks that hang out there which is great - I know about 75% of the bands that jam there.

Rates are about standard at $60 for 3 hours and they have an easy to use online booking system, EFTPOS (so many other spaces don't!) and a generally fair to decent supply of rentable gear/peripherals if and when required.

Only gripe is parking; the actual space for vehicles is large enough to accommodate about a dozen cars if everyone parks right... which few people do... so you end up with some clown parked over what should be 2-3 spaces. But small spuds really.

Super lucky. We bought a house last year with a lounge downstairs. My wife gave me that room on the proviso that we could build a new one upstairs that got finished earlier this year. There's space for amps, guitars, my recording setup and even a drum kit.

My band currently consists of two people, so it's pretty easy to practice anywhere, but it's nice to have all my gear set up most of the time.
All the gear... absolutely no idea...

Since Christmas we've been descended on by visitors and house guests so I lost my office/spare bedroom.

This is currently my "practice" space which is my home office desk set up in the bedroom, feels just like being a student but I'm not sure the wife is that happy ;)

What is nice though is that now I've actually got a Blackstar Fly 3 stereo setup on my desk behind the big monitor which provides audio for the computer and the guitar and is actually a fantastic practice tool to play along to audio files and youtube videos.

I've been really impressed with the Fly3, while it's definitely a practice amp it's got some really accessible tones which are easy to set up and I'm 100% certain that my playing/practice has been more effective for actually being amplified rather than playing an electric acousticly. I'm going to be a little upset when I pass this little amp onto my son for his guitar practice, I've got an Amplifi-TT to see if I can get working or I might have to move back to the Marshall...

Maybe this thread is further incentive to start work on my proper man cave again.

Behold the mezzanine killing floor, red dog twin matching the Carvin R600 with era correct knobage. All recent amps get a mandatory 12 month workout, this dog gets it's day.
