Nothing quite like a new amp!

Image

Rivera Knucklehead gen 1, from the 90s. Ex Scarecrow.

Two channels, boost per channel, loud as hell. This thing is a beast :)

IIRC, these things originally came with a 4x12 and a powered sub. :wtf:
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Was home alone yesterday for a bit so I turned it up to 3 and a half.

Holy jesus.

So loud, but so so good... its a little fizzy at bedroom levels but even at 3.5 that smooths right off.

Its got what I want which actually isn't that much gain but for the gain to have a real aggressive, muscular, angry tone. And man, this thing is evil.

Pretty much sums it up. Ryan at TAS referred to it as a "the killer" when he fired it up to about 4 on the MV once. Doesn't have a lot of gain by modern standards, but just has a thick, raw gain sound around 6-8 on the dial.

Will indeed unstitch faces at moderate distances.

Yeah I'm currently rolling it on about 4 or 5 with the gain boost in, which is about 10 without the boost, but gives me almost an extra channel.

As someone said in a review I read a while back, the volume is perfect for when too much isn't enou... no it's just too much.
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.
