Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Re: Throwback
I sometimes miss this Yamaha BBG 4.
I had been eyeing it for a while and I was in the shop when some guy came in with his dad and the guy had a bit of a play and got all "tut tut", shook his head and put it down. Such dickheads.
So I did my best Ray Charles "I don't think there's anything wrong with the action on this piano" thing, played the shit out of the bass for a few minutes, amazed the two idiots then told the shop guy "I'll take it"

Re: Throwback
Here's one that got away but that I got back today. Custom Shop 1960 reissue. Nice big frets and a cool, aged finish.

Re: Throwback
Easy to forget why you sold something but there would've been a reason of some sort. That's some Les Paul though.faceless wrote:Hello regrets, sold an R0 and been kicking myself since.
I had a CBS Strat in a kind of faded white / yellow. Non trem. Three bolt neck. Played it through a Vox Climax at the time. Cost me two hundred quid. I'd discovered SRV but Vai was doing cool stuff with DLR and I allowed myself to be swayed in that direction. More than thirty years later I'm still listening to SRV but would sooner have teeth extracted than listen to Vai.

Some gear are sold for different reasons and whatever they may be, they seem to be the best idea at that time
