NP(board)D
Wasn't sure I should post this lest I break the internet again, but ah screw it.
Ordered this back in August when they had to stop making them due to cease and desist from pedal train (which is moronic). Finally arrived 4 months later.
Case and board are both really well made. Case is hella light compared to other hard cases because they use 'Polypropylene Honeycomb'. Tidy little IEC jack with switch, I have some black handles I will install myself, though it will sit in the 'lid' most of the time as per design. Board is PT3 sized. Looking forward to board rewire/setup over the break.
I won't disclose the price for everyones sanity

Re: NP(board)D
Hehe... thought the brand name was a Genesis reference (the bible book, not the band)
That looks awesome! Being made of wood, is it much heavier than a Pedaltrain?
Also, how is that anything similar to a pedaltrain at all?

Pedaltrain have been none to c&d any angled boards with slats. This has slots however so not sure how.StratMatt wrote:Yeah how did that earn a cease and desist order? Looks a fine board
What makes it more interesting, is they have spent the last 6 months revising the design with a patent lawyer and the result is probably even closer to PT :shrug

Board seems to be a similar weight to a pt, overall weight is muuuuuch lower due to case.

Yea probably, though quote labour intensive. Im a diy non starter so couldn't do anything even remotely similar. I have also yet to see someone's diy efforts come even close to this level, but of course there are people who could.jeremyb wrote:Wow, thats really nice, would be cheap as chips to make too!

Re: NP(board)D
Anyone who's ever build a great cab will attest that while the raw materials may be reasonably cheap, the know how and time is not. I've seen some pretty amazing woodworking efforts posted to the board from forumites, but they would be very much in the minority I'd think.
Great looking board, it smells expensive from here. The on/off switch on the side is a nice touch to save having to yank the power from your supply to shut off

It isn't labour intensive at all, but that doesn't mean we should or have to build them. I havn't seen a DIY this good either, mainly because people just build what they need, it's only a pedalboard after all. How much was it?MattAnt wrote: Yea probably, though quote labour intensive. Re: NP(board)D
Si built himself a board similar to this and it turned out pretty well. It's all well and good to make the board, but the other half of the equation is having a nice, light hard case to protect it. That holds just as much appeal to me anyway. How boring is that?
Loving it so far

Re: NP(board)D
for a starter though, this has dovetails unless you have a dovetail jig, you'll need to cut them by hand = pain in the arse and labour intensive. So yeah, this is a wee cracker! Especially as dovetails = mojo tonez!
though I have a dovetail jig, I don't have enough pedals to warrant an actual pedalboard, else I'd just make one

So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.
