WooHoo!!!! I'm very jealous. Please post your impressions when you get to know it. I need to satisfy my Vibro King GAS vicariously. :D
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Vary nice! Must admit my Fender knowledge doesn't go much past 5E3, Champ,PR, Bassman and DR. But one day I'll figure out what all the others do and how they are different.

You must've been bloody stressed about that, eh? No insurance with Mainfreight. Glad it's safely there.

I was going to post an "in the mail" but yeah, it wouldhave been too much.
I still can't believe how useless mainfreight are!
They searched for over a week and just could not find it in their tracking system, still, all's well that ends well.

Also- 3-knob reverb circuits take a bit of getting used to. Really keen to compare it to my '63 Reverb and Bandmaster.

Had a quick play with it and I like it.
The reverb is supposed to be the same as, or, very similar to your 63 stand alone reverb unit circuit - this one is powered with a 6V6 tube.

I mostly play clean with occasional use of delay, chorus & reverb. This amp also sounds more like my Rivera Clubster 45 than my Twin on their clean channels. My twin is much brighter.

It must be time for an Auckland gear fest in the new year!

Ah the 6g15 outboard reverb circuit, king of reverbs.
I run mine with a 6v6, preferred it(though the differences were minute) to the 6k6
Can't see how you'd want to be using chorus with it though. Even delay is a bit tricky as that verb should give a nice pseudo slap back and drip

Happy days

What does it weigh ? (On earth)

I'm re-evaluating what effects I need because the amp is so good just by itself. I suppose it's also good for keeping fit - no need to go to the gym - it weighs 33kg. Not as bad as I first thought but I wouldn't want to have to lug it up too many stairs.

Oh lovely!!!!

I used to be a proud VK owner. Twice actually, as my first one was stolen. The second one I eventually sold to Kevin Borich and I miss it terribly.

That is an incredibly toneful (and loud) amp. When you combine it with a 2x12 extension cabinet, it sounds like the earth is ending.
