I used to be a proud VK owner. Twice actually, as my first one was stolen. The second one I eventually sold to Kevin Borich and I miss it terribly.
That is an incredibly toneful (and loud) amp. When you combine it with a 2x12 extension cabinet, it sounds like the earth is ending.
I've been watching some cabs on Ebay, but seriously, I just don't need the extra oomph.
Mind you, with my current set up I don't have gas for anything else - yikes, that's a worry - oh well, we will see what happens in the new year.

Don't suppose that you still have the foot switch?

Believe everything that you hear about these amps!
They are orgasmically fantastic
They make any guitar sound good & once you start playing, you don't want to stop.
Looks like my twin & Clubster 45 are going on the block after my holidays.

I've just tried connecting the effects send to my Excelsior - it has a JBL K130 - talk about surf heaven in stereo!
I remember Molly saying once that the excelsior was a poor man's Supro - maybe with the original speaker, but with the JBL it a poor man's Vibro King. Dick Dale certainly knew what he was doing when he chose to run with JBL's.

Had the house to myself for a while today so I tried out the THD Attenuator that came with this amp.
Man! talk about roar when it was dimed - nothing beats natural tube overdrive that's for sure.

'fraid not. But it's just the standard vintage looking one that you'd get with a deluxe reverb or something. REV & VIB on/off.
For that matter, any standard 2 button latching footswitch will work.... BOSS FS-6 / FS-7 etc.
