Re: NPBD: New Pedal Board
Matt, ES-5 question while you're here:I love how I literally get paid to know shit like that.
When i reassign the mute switch to be a second bank switch (so i can bank up and down rather than just down) i lose the press and hold function of the mute switch (bypass).
Is there any way to retain the press and hold function when the switch is reassigned?

had a mate who was in melb stop by a guitar store for me who stocks them and brought them over when he flew back to NZ to visit.

there's a couple other in the market that are rotate-able but I liked the look of the Disasters.

Re: NPBD: New Pedal Board
I'm afraid not Matt. Most ES-5 users I come across have external footswitches like an FS-7 assigned to bank up/down (or mute) for this exact reason.Mattallica wrote:Matt, ES-5 question while you're here:I love how I literally get paid to know shit like that.

Re: NPBD: New Pedal Board
No worries. I actually don't have any use for it, it was more that i noticed its absence once i changed the function. I realise you can just make a clean patch with no loops to effectively bypass the unit if you wanted to.I'm afraid not Matt. I don't, but someone out there might for whatever reason. Trouble shooting maybe? Why would you want to bypass the ES-5 anyway?

Looking good Si.
So does the ES-8 talk to the Disaster Area controller as well? Or do you need to tap them separately? (Sorry, probably a noob question - I've got a L6 M5 and I've never bothered to learn how to use it properly!).

DMC is Midi OUT only.Miza wrote:Looking good Si.

so it can control the patches on the ES-8. or if i set midi to Through on the ES-8 it can control the strymons.
ATM i'm experimenting with the ES8 doing everything, the DMC4 is just sitting on my board doing nothing.

+1 on the Disaster Area midi cables - couldn't find anything like it for my DMC4/Strymon hookups when I was looking.LucyTheSpud wrote: Want. Where can i get some? I midi sync all my tempo based stuff together and the cables i have a shite and massive.
I ordered mine direct from them.
I was a bit disappointed that the DMC4 was out only, too... can't remember what I was trying to do. Something to do with Midi clock and drum machines and suchlike.
I wouldn't mind picking up one of the newer ones with BPM outputs etc.
Larrivee 00 Acoustic. FAV Strat for electric. Ibanez SDGR5 for bass. Push for Ableton. When not doing that, 3D CAD for tunnels...

From Disaster Area's website. Mentioned above, and Google will find it too.
