I'm hoping to not have to adjust the truss rod again for a very long time... but yes, the right, or appropriately modified tool, would help for sure.

Nice choices, the Katana range quite appeals to me. Does the 100w combo only come as a 1x12?
Is it just me or does anyone else think the Pacifica looks like the Ibanez model Andy Timmons plays? Quite like the shape of them, kind of a nice Strat/Ibanez hybrid.

There's a 100W 2x12 combo too... Terexgeek got one recently, I would've bought that but budget was pretty tight.
You're right, the Pacifica in general is in between Ibanez and Strat, almost exactly the middle in terms of pointiness. I'm a bit of an Andy Timmons fan boi so I'm lining up a pair of DiMarzio Cruisers and an AT-1 for this gat. On a side note, the Katana brown channel does AT tones quite well, cleans up nicely too... like his Beatles album tone. Then again, the IRT-Studio did that too

Hi latest album is brilliant, lovely tones abound. His Rig Rundown is worth watching too if you haven't seen it before.

Yup, I've seen his rig rundown. And yes, I like his latest album too. Talking about his videos, check out the one where he played While My Guitar Gently Weeps through a tiny Vox amp... no idea which model. I'm amazed at how refined and clean his playing sounds, yet he gives them strings a pretty hard wack! I imagine it's only because we can hear his string noise over the tiny Vox amp.

Gorgeous lil gat for sure. Really enjoyed having a jam on it, an that was with old strings, lighter than I would usually use. Sorry the tone knob packed up on you, seemed fine but wasn't really using it.
Hope you enjoy. Great buying.

Yup, great buying thanks to you! I googled around about the tone knob and it seems to be a weak point in this model anyway... fiddly little thing. That's probably why you don't see any push/push pots around these days. It's a great excuse for me to upgrade the electronics!dayl wrote:Gorgeous lil gat for sure.
