Wow, looks great!! How does it sound?

Sounds great although not as bright as sizzlingbadger's Es-330. A thicker sound if that makes sense. I really feel as though the pickups are too far from the strings hence the spacer I crafted for the neck pickup. I played an original 50's one in Sydney about 15 years ago that they had in Jackson's. That was a far lighter build.

Re: ES-295
I'm not Wellington-based, unfortunately, and I suspect it'd be well out of my budget anyway. I'm after a new amp if anything; not actually playing much these days. Contemplating selling what little gear I have left but can't quite bring myself to do it. Anyhow, I'll stop de-railing the thread.Dano_NZ wrote:Twangsnarl, I might move it on. If you're Wellington-based I'm happy for you to try.

Not at all. Keep your gear sir unless of course you're "upgrading"twangnsnarl wrote:I'm not Wellington-based, unfortunately, and I suspect it'd be well out of my budget anyway. I was about to type earlier "that era the hollow bodies were more heavily built, but well built!".Dano_NZ wrote:Sounds great although not as bright as sizzlingbadger's Es-330. Love those guitars, not even put off by the Killing Joke connection...
