My Gear

Post by Tiglitar »

Hi all,

I am new to the forum, my name is Shaun. Been playing guitar on and off for about 15 years. Been through quite a few guitars over the years but currently my two main guitars are:

My strat, which is my go to guitar.

My Ibanez 8 string which I have been trying to figure out for a few years now.

These two seems to fill most of my needs, but there is still a longing for a Les Paul...

Then, I know its not guitar related, but I have also been busy building an edrum kit from old acoustic drums and an alesis dm6 electric kit.

Thanks!

They are Evans pickups, they were made by a guy named Rod Evans in the US. He doesnt make them anymore though. I dont know too much about them, they came with the guitar, but they sound pretty good.

Thanks, sorry for the poor quality pictures. Its a lovely guitar to play. I cant seem to find out too many details on it though.

Most peoples guesses have been that its an early 80's strat and maybe some kind of custom run. The truss rod adjustment screw is at the headstock so its not one of those rare vintage squiers.

I have taken the neck off to see for any kind of serial number but the ink has all blurred and soaked into the wood over the years.

Anyways, here are some more pics that I have with me.

I will create an account on flickr, but I was referring to my poor photography skills more than anything else :)

Matching head looks great on the strat. And quite partial to a rosewood strat. Come in, grab a seat and prepare.

Welcome
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...
