That sounds pretty sweet

Do you use a DI box or anything in between your soundcard and the FX return?

Main issue I get with soundcard straight into the amp is a high noise floor and/or ground loops. Have been wondering about getting some kind of isolation device

The Salvation clip was interface into Radial reamp box. The Diezel clip was just Macbook headphone jack straight into the amp though.

yo GodGrinder, was looking at some pics and had a question, do these work as a whole additional channel on an amp? so put in the fx loop with 4cable sort of set up and it switches between the Amps Pre and the SYN1? If so, that's mean.

Yeah you can 4cm it with an amp.

Results would vary depending on loop designs though. For example the SLO loop is pre-tonestack which will colour (and clip) whatever's coming through the fx return.

No, so it's not exactly cheap to start with. But for long term GAS sufferers it should work out alright in the long run, buying new modules are definitely way cheaper than buying amps...

And considering how much dirtboxes run for nowadays, the modules almost seem like a bargain. US$300 for a VH4 pedal VS $400 for the tube module...

Salvation is now doing rack preamps which you can choose any 2 of their modules. Had midi and 4cm too like the Synergy stuff. Seems like a cool deal since you won't have to buy a chassis.
