New Old Orange Day

Image

1976 OR120M. Will wait to try it in a band context before passing judgement, but digging it at home. Wish I hadn't sold that Orange 4x12 I had a couple of years ago... :|

Import from Blighty. Shipped in a wooden crate, charmingly enough.

Actually the master volume works better than I'd been expecting. Sounds a bit squishy at lower volumes, but not entirely awful. Quite surprisingly, the volume only really cranks up in the last quarter of the dial - not at all like Marshalls where it ramps up super fast.

So, you’re telling us you have a mentally grunty vintage amp, and it’s actually usable?

Neat

My SF twin was one of the 130w odd models.
With earplugs, I couldn’t be in the same room as it was, if I had it right the way up. Thing was nuts.
