NGD: Taylor Big Baby

Post by JHorner »

Only the 3rd time in my life that my NGD is actually a new, off the rack guitar.

I liked the neck and the way it sounded better than the Mini or the Academy Concert.

Tell us about the neck, sir.
Looks like a flash bit of kit. Was just googling to work out what the larrivee I had years ago was.

The neck has no heel, and is affixed to the body by 2 screws at the 16th fret.

Result: Excellent fret access, and simplified neck reset / possible to shim.

I wanted to like the concerts shorter scale, but playing them side by side I just didn't.

It's not that flash, one of the cheapest Taylors there is.

So I can leave it out and play it.

Nice! They're great guitars.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.
