I didn't used to like the black humbucker thing but I get it now and dig it. It gives it a hotrodded vibe.
Like when someone smashes their red Corolla's door in and they can only get a blue one from the wreckers?

As far as the headstock goes - Suhr, Tom Anderson and Xotic headstocks all look very similar. I’m guessing boo-teek builders are comfortable with it. I quite like it (certainly more than I like fender’s)
I should also say, I dig the hell outta this guitar!

No, reverb.com

Too expensive to buy from CME once you get hit with local sales tax

A bit rounder - very comfortable but still shredable

You can tell just by looking at it that it's neither quarter sawn nor bird's eye.

jeeze you're harsh. it was a question, Flame in place of birdseye please you Sire ?

the grain looks odd to me, just searching for what makes it look the way it is.

arrogance much?

all you should do now is google Xotic and quarter sawn

in your rush to appear superior you have made a simple mistake

What's with all the aggression? I think you're over-reacting rather. The grain is plain cut - you can see the cut going evenly through the growth rings. Quarter sawn gives you end grain, the growth rings runs vertically. And bird's eye maple has little dots, like bird's eyes, in it. Your eyes give the answers.
