They do look close but don't feel it. Another player might want to invest in a Callaham with close spacing or some such but I think its unlikely.

Watched That Pedal Show where the guy got his Strat refretted. The luther explained that fret ends closer to the body should have a steeper angle so as to minimize the chance of strings slipping off. I'd never thought of that
