NGD: Double bound tuxedo
90's Era American Vintage Series Fender Telecaster with twisted tele pickups
Some say if it's over 30 years old it's vintage? YMMV
This one came with authentic dings and scratches of over 30 years of playing, not factory relic
It all started when I saw RS ad selling their private collection (only available for viewing at K Rd)
So drove down and found this beauty American made in the 80s, upgraded to CS twisted tele pickups and according to the RS manager, in the 80s Fender sold some with the "flipped around" control plate which I do prefer as I remember few years ago I considered modding the control plate on a Am Standard Tele but was too complicated for me, lots of YouTube vids on that.
RS personnel let me try out the tele through a newish Boogie Fillmore and the tonez were heavenly! Immediately thought "this guitar is going home with me today" I wish the amp came home with me too but that was too spendy

Re: NGD: Double bound tuxedo
I love double bound. That is sweet.
I love this kind of tele; the black on blonde 50s; and the Dulon painted early 60s ones.

In life, don't sweat the petty stuff, and don't pet the sweaty stuff.

Haha. After the 2nd rebuy I learned my lesson hence the refinish! Like the Blue T, some guitars just work for you.

Re: NGD: Double bound tuxedo
Don’t I have priority repurchase rights on the blue Suhr, being the immediate previous owner?! I just need to sell the Asher first...null_pointer wrote:Just reiterating dibs on the Suhr when it checks out of your hotel for mineKNNZ wrote:never! btw is that a hintnull_pointer wrote:There must be just about one too many T style guitars in your house these days
