Having owned a Gretsch with a massive headstock and bonkers wide string spread through the nut, I’m not sure I agree. different application.... and this is just more things for the strings to get caught up on. Maybe with locking tuners as well it could help otherwise, nah.

I can see how those would be a good idea so you could cut the nut slots all perfectly straight and the strings would feed in correctly.
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.
