At the risk of some choice wet/dry jokes, I thought I’d share this setup that’s a lot of fun to play through. The Marshall runs dry into the Suhr 2x12 with all the analog pedals in front.
The amp line out goes to the HX Stomp which runs Reverb/Delay/Pitch 100% wet into the Valvestate power amp. This powers the outer two ADA cabs.
You can get some really lush sounds while retaining clarity, thanks to the centre dry cab. I doubt it would be appropriate for most gigs, but on a larger stage with a trio it would have room to shine. There’s something about the 3 signals mixing in the air that is just magical. Another advantage is you can be swimming in effects and the FOH engineer can have a drier guitar mix if the venue needs. Or vice versa. This also means the engineer needs to know the overall vibe of the material, which is sometimes a luxury

I’m using a Lehle P-Split on the iso send to the HX Stomp, so both amps are conveniently transformer isolated.

There’s a pair of old Mackie monitors in the living room, so I normally play any backing tracks on those. The wet fx cabs are guitar speakers, not full rangesizzlingbadger wrote: ↑Sat Jan 07, 2023 9:11 am I bet it sounds great with a looper's bass n drums in the wet channel too.
