80's Rack Tones

Post by blackstratblues »

Put the studio rack to good use on this one.
Tried to channel some late 80's Landau tones, lots of fun!

Even I nearly understood that..... No seriously,, I've just spent a couple of hours wringing a Princeton's neck and loving it which is the total opposite of what you just showed me. That was really informative and it sounded great.

Your lead tone at the end is a sound I've been searching for most of my life.
Time to build a refrigerator rack?

I can show you how to to get a pretty damn good facsimile with a HX stomp if you want? Or with plugins if you have a DAW setup.
Of course if you want to actually go the whole hog you're welcome to hit me up for my 0.02 anytime :)

Thanks Warren but I think my Rock God days are behind me. I'm having a lot of fun plugging into little amps and making them work for their volts.
I always suspected that was a studio rather than amp tone. In the way I see things, that's a win!

(I've never used an HX stomp and what is this door of which you speak?)

If you've got an amp you like, check out the HX effects. Loads of fun.

DAW refers to Digital Audio Workstation (Logic, Cubase, Pro Tools etc), if you already run one on the computer there's a lot one can accomplish with free or cheap plugins.
