Oh yeah man....I have huge regrets I missed that. The guy is like a thousand, I doubt he'll make it down here again. Interestingly, the Live in London DVD has got, apparently, the exact same banter, word for word, as he did in Auckland. Perhaps that was why the show was so fantastic - the whole thing was rehearsed down to the banter!! Even the DVD is pretty amazing.

Hurdy Gurdy.... some how... and I'm not entirely certain how mind you, an instrument that sounds like someone has shoved a nest of angry hornets into a goose with a kazoo bill and is randomly slapping the poor creature with an accordion.... Sounds amazing.

Tippy toppy songwriters for me (in no particular order other than me scrolling through my iTunes library):

Frank Zappa
Brian Wilson
Bob Dylan
Billy Joel
James Taylor
Prince
Brian May/Freddie Mercury
Donald Fagan/Walter Becker
Neil Finn
Tim Finn
Steve Winwood
Billy Gibbons/Dusty Hill/Frank Beard (though I suspect - without evidence - Billy actually writes most/all of it)

And a whole bunch of older composers I don't know names of, but whose songs I have done by a wide range of singers.

And probably Lennon/McCartney as well.
